Transforming Teachers’ Fear into New Pathways of Education
This hits: "The sum of you is your values and your time." 🔥
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts on foundational values! I always love seeing other people who seek to live in alignment and hold their values highly.
“The answer? Well, it was not hell yes.” I was facing some dilemma in my mind and thanks for the reminder if the answer is not “hell yess” then it’s No. Loved your journey as teacher, will explore your workbook :)
Your “Is this how I want to spend my time?” comment reminds me of this Steve Jobs quote - “For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”
It can be so easy to fall into a rut and never make it out. I love the idea of a workbook to help define values!
Love this idea of re-evaluating things if the answer to " Is this how I want to spend my time?" isn't "Hell Yes!"
I think we all often forget the importance of checking in with ourselves. Thanks for writing about this.
Also, irrelevant side note - I love the new banner above your essay. The font you've used for "Kelly's Newsletter" is really pretty!
